8th Grade Bands Newsletter - 9/30/26

Dear WBMS 8th Grade Parents and Students,

The 8th Grade Bands have been working very hard on their fall concert music, and we very much look forward to you hearing the results of their hard work.

Please find the information below that pertains to the concert on Wednesday, October 7th, 2026.

Date: Wednesday, October 7th, 2026
Location: Webb Bridge Middle School Cafeteria
The itinerary for the performance is as follows:

• 7:00PM: Arrive at Webb Bridge Middle School in full uniform.
• 7:10PM: Concert Band (7th Period) Seated in the Cafeteria Concert-Set-Up with your instrument/music dressed in the full band uniform. Percussion students just need to bring their music and stick bag.
• 7:10PM: Symphonic Band (6th Period) Students Seated in Band Room 1 in uniforms with instruments.
• 7:30PM: Concert Begins
• 7:30PM - 7:45PM: Concert Band (7th Period) Performs
• 7:45PM - 8:00PM: Transition - Concert Band Students and Parents may leave - Symphonic Band Students warm-up
• 8:00PM - 8:30PM: Symphonic Band Performs
• 8:30PM - Concert Ends
• Full Band Uniform: Band Polo, Solid Black Pants/Slacks - please no jeans, leggings or pants with sequins/designs, Black Dress Belt - if you want to wear a belt, Black Dress Shoes/Flats - please no tennis shoes, Black Socks for black dress shoes - not required for flats.​

AHS Bands 8th Grade Night

The make-up date for 8th Grade Night is on Friday, October 9th. We can't wait for your child to experience what it is like to be in the marching band with the Alpharetta High School Band!

​WBMS Jazz Band

​Our two jazz bands, Groove and Swing, have started practicing and the regular practice time is every Thursday from 7:45AM - 8:45AM. We will always be at the main office door from 7:35 - 7:40 in order to let your child down to the band room. We do like to start rehearsals on time, so please plan accordingly.

It is going to be a great year for Jazz!
