8th Grade Newsletter - Week of 8/17/26

Dear WBMS 8th Grade Band Parents,

We are so excited to welcome back over 430 students and families back to the WBMS Band Program! If you are new to the program, welcome to the WBMS Band Program - a program of excellence in music performance!

The 8th Grade Band students are doing a great job in class as we are already diving into new music and warm-ups. Please be sure your child is prepared for band class every day by having all required materials.

​On Monday, 8/10/26, all students received their band binder, pencil, cover sheet, and WBMS Band Calendar.

​Welcome Mr. Jones, WBMS Assistant Band Director

​This school year we are happy to welcome Brandon Jones to the WBMS Band Staff as our Assistant Band Director. Your child's band activity fee helps to pay for Mr. Jones to join the WBMS Band staff. Having additional instruction helps to give every child more individual attention.

Every year the 8th Grade Band students get to participate in the AHS 8th Grade Night. 

The Alpharetta HS Band is excited for YOU to be a part of the RAIDER MARCHING BAND!
