8th Grade Weekly Newsletter - Week of 8/11/25

Dear WBMS 8th Grade Band Parents,

We are so excited to welcome back all returning students and families to the WBMS Band Program! If you are new to the program, welcome to the WBMS Band Program - a program of excellence in music performance!

The 8th Grade Band students are doing a great job in class as we are already diving into new music and warm-ups. The students are learning some fun "stand tunes" in class while preparing for the upcoming AHS Bands 8th Grade Night. This event is on Friday, September 5th at Alpharetta High School - be sure to read the information below to learn more.

Please be sure your child is prepared for band class every day by having all required materials. A list of required materials can be found here:

• WBMS Band Handbook
• WBMS Band Calendar
• WBMS Band Calendar (for printing)
• WBMS School Owned Instrument Rental Fee - Due Friday, August 15th
• WBMS Band Activity Fee - Due by Tuesday, September 9th

If your child is interested in obtaining a step-up (intermediate) instrument, please let us know as we can help!​​

Alpharetta High School Band - what our former kids are doing!

We are very fortunate to be the direct feeder for the Alpharetta High School Raider Band!

The Alpharetta High School Marching Raider Band is busy learning their 2025 production, "Worlds Apart"!

If you are at one of the Alpharetta High School Friday night football games this year, be sure to check out their halftime show and cheer them on!
