Welcome to the WBMS Jazz Band Program

Dear Students and Families,
 
Congratulations! We are excited to let you know that your student has been selected to participate in one of the Webb Bridge Middle School Jazz Bands this year!
 
We are fortunate to have enough talented and interested musicians to offer two jazz ensembles, allowing students to perform music that best matches their current experience and level of development.
 
Our two ensembles are:

• Groove – Our advanced jazz ensemble, designed for students who are ready for more challenging music, increased independence, and advanced jazz concepts.
• Swing – Our on-level jazz ensemble, designed to help students strengthen their jazz fundamentals, develop confidence, and grow as ensemble musicians.

Placement in either group is an accomplishment, and both ensembles are an important part of our jazz program. Students in Groove and Swing will have opportunities to grow as musicians, learn the language and style of jazz, and experience the excitement of performing together.

Our first practice session will be on Thursday, September 17th from 7:45AM - 8:45AM.
 
We are incredibly proud of everyone who auditioned and look forward to a fantastic year of music-making!
